See and manage your registered users

Find the users your app has registered, see their push status, language and devices — and send a push notification to one specific user

Registered users

Go to Registered users in starti.app Manager

What are Registered users?

Registered users shows the users your app has registered itself. When a user logs in or identifies themselves in the app, they get a user ID and then appear here — together with the devices they use the app on.

On this page you can:

  • See who is logged in, and on which devices
  • See whether each device has allowed push notifications
  • See the device's language and time zone
  • Send a push notification to one specific user
  • Delete a device or an entire user

Registered users is an optional feature. If you can't see the page in the menu (under Tools), the feature isn't enabled for your app yet — get in touch and we'll turn it on for you.

How to find a user

Open starti.app Manager and log in with Microsoft, Google or Apple. Then go to Registered users in the menu bar on the left under Tools.

At the top of the page there's a search field.

  • Leave the field empty to see the most recently active users.
  • Type a user ID to find a specific user. The search matches the start of the ID, and it is case-sensitive.

If there are many users, the page only shows the most recently active ones at a time. Search to find the exact user you're looking for.

What a user card shows

Each user appears as a card. At the top you'll see:

  • The user ID — the identification your app gave the user
  • Last active — how long ago the user last used the app
  • The Send push button — send a notification to this user only (see below)
  • The Delete user button — remove the user and all of their devices

Below the card you'll see the user's devices — one line per phone or tablet the user has the app on.

What each device line shows

  • The phone icon — click it to copy the device's installation ID (handy if our support team asks for it)
  • Push status — one of three colour-coded labels:
    • Push allowed (green) — the device receives notifications
    • Push not allowed (red) — the user declined notifications
    • Not yet asked (amber) — the app hasn't asked for permission yet
  • Categories — the push categories the device is subscribed to (if it says All, the device receives every message)
  • Language — the device's language
  • Time zone — the device's time zone
  • Last active — when the app last ran on the device

Send a push to one user

Click Send push on a user card. You'll be taken to the Send push notification page with that user already selected as the recipient. Write your message and send — the notification then reaches only that one user.

This is useful when you need to help a single customer, test a message on yourself, or send something personal to a specific user.

Delete a device or a user

Next to each device there's a trash icon, and each user card has a Delete user button. You'll always be asked to confirm before anything is deleted.

When you delete a device or a user, the registration disappears. If the app is still in use on the device, it will register itself again the next time the app is opened. Deleting is therefore mainly for tidying up old or unused registrations.
