App icon
Upload your app icon, choose a background color, and adjust how it looks on iOS and Android
App icon
Go to App icon in starti.app ManagerWhat is this page?
On this page you upload your app icon — the icon users tap on their phone's home screen. It's the first thing users see of your app.
Changes to your app icon require starti.app to publish a new version of your app before your users will see them. Your changes are saved right away, but the updated app is published by starti.app afterwards.
How to set up the app icon
Upload your icon
Click the upload area and choose your icon file. Only PNG and SVG files are allowed, and a size of 1024×1024 works best.
Your icon is automatically adjusted to the correct size and squared when you upload it, so you don't need to resize it yourself first.
Choose a background color
Under Background color you pick the color shown around your icon on the phone. Choose a color that fits your app's design.
Adjust the size for iOS and Android
You'll see a preview of how the icon looks on both iOS (rounded square) and Android (circle). Under each preview there is a scaling slider you can drag to make the icon appear a little larger or smaller, so it looks right on both platforms.
Your splash screen — the image users see while the app starts up — is set up on its own page. By default it reuses your app icon. Read how to set up the Splash screen here.
Your changes are saved automatically as you make them. You can follow the save status in the top bar of starti.app Manager.
